The 42nd Annual crowning of the Eugene S.L.U.G. (Society for the Legitimization of the Ubiquitous Gastropod) Queen was held at Park Block, 126 E. 8th Avenue, in downtown Eugene Friday, August 9th, 2024. A crowd of about 250 fans of the event gathered to watch this year's six contestants compete for the honor. Panda Snuggleslug (aka Panda Bennett) was crowned this year's queen, duties, as explained by Master of Ceremony and 1993 S.L.U.G. Queen Bananita Sluginsky (aka Sarah Ulerick), are to "Find something to do. Then do it."
